FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
New York, NY November 30, 2021: GuardLab® Inc., a New York-based sports technology brand that specializes in using 3D technology and 3D printing to create the most accurate fitting, protective and performance enhancing mouthguards in the market, is thrilled to announce their newest brand ambassador: Chicago White Sox All Star Closer, Liam Hendriks, just named for the second year in a row as the American League’s Mariano Rivera Reliever of the Year.
Liam Hendriks, @hendriks_31, had another stellar season, wearing his GuardLab ARC™ Lower Performance mouthguard, while helping to propel the White Sox into the AL Championships. Hendriks had a scoreless streak of 15 games, leading all MLB relievers in strikeouts (117), with a stunning, League leading 38 saves and 0.73 WHIP (walks and hits per inning). Hendriks is the first pitcher to win the Mariano Rivera Reliever of the Year award in back-to-back years, adding extra excitement around GuardLab’s newest Brand Ambassador.
Hendriks wore his GuardLab ARC™ Lower Performance mouthguard all season and when he closed out the National League to seal the win of the 2021 MLB All Star game for the American League.
“I was first introduced to GuardLab’s custom mouthguards back in 2015 and immediately noticed the benefits to my performance. I wear my GuardLab custom fitted lower mouthguard during games and while practicing, not only for its comfort, but also for its tension relief and benefits to my breathing,” said Liam Hendriks. “I am a passionate believer in performance, quality and design and I’ve found that with GuardLab. I’m looking forward to joining the GuardLab team.”
GuardLab’s ARC™ Technology, an acronym for “Alignment Repositioning Cushion” is a patented neuromuscular mouth guard that uses 3D Technology to accurately measure an individual’s bite to help stabilize the jaw and surrounding muscles, improve oxygenation and reduce TMJ tension.
“As a life-long White Sox fan from the Southside of Chicago, I am ecstatic to have Liam Hendriks join the GuardLab Team,” said Tefft Smith, GuardLab’s Chairman. To see him share his passion for GuardLab with other athletes, especially the younger athletes, we hope he will inspire others to consider the benefits of wearing a mouthguard. Having an elite MLB athlete as Liam, as a wearer and believer in GuardLab technology, speaks to our unparalleled quality and supports our vision to make better fitting and better performing mouthguards for every type of sport and every level of play.”
