Curtis “Razor” Blaydes Is Cutting Through UFC’s Heavyweight Division
Elevation Fight Team’s Curtis “Razor” Blaydes is an American mixed martial artist competing in the UFC. He is currently ranked #4 in the Heavyweight Division. Blaydes has gone on a monstrous 9-0 run in his last 9 fights, with 7 wins coming via knockout.
He will look to continue his success at UFC 225 this Saturday, June 9th, at the United Center in Chicago, Illinois. He will be facing the veteran heavyweight, Alistair Overeem, who currently owns a 43-16-0 record. This fight may be the biggest of his career as a win could propel him to title contention.
The success of Blaydes can be tracked to his wrestling background in high school. Born in Naperville, Illinois he won the wrestling state title in his senior year with an outstanding 44-0 record.
After a short college wrestling career, Blaydes left to embark on a full-time UFC career. He is one to watch with premier wrestling abilities in the Heavyweight Division. Blaydes' dual skill set in a class known for its heavy hitting makes him an exciting future title champion.
Since 2015, Blaydes has been wearing GuardLab’s 3D scanned ARC-PRO custom mouthguard for peak performance and protection while training and fighting. “I believe that GuardLab produces the best form fitting protection on top of providing some really dope creative designs." - Curtis "Razor" Blaydes
